This will be the third year of The CEDAR Awards. There are six of these, five of which recognise outstanding contributions in the field of audio restoration. Nominations are invited in each of the following categories:

• CD Remastering from a Modern Recording (post 1949)
• CD Remastering from a Vintage Recording (pre 1950)
• Remastering of a Film Soundtrack
• Audio Restoration for Broadcast Use
• Audio Restoration for Forensic Use

CEDAR will again present a special Award to one of its dealers to recognise exceptional performance over the past 12 months. SAV (who represent CEDAR in France) was the CEDAR Dealer of the Year in 1999, and CEDAR's Sales Director, Clive Osborn recently presented the Award to their Sales Manager, Laurent Laignel (right, photo). SAV will be present at the 108th AES Convention in Paris.

Nominations for "The 2000 CEDAR Awards" are invited from all interested parties, and candidates may propose themselves without prejudicing their chance of success. Clive Osborn will be overseeing the nomination process, and he will be pleased to answer all questions relating to the Awards. The closing date for nominations is June 30th 2000.
